PPS
can image your files to photographic paper, translucent film,
negatives, transparencies or wide format inkjet media. To meet
expectations regarding quality and service time, the best results
are achieved by following these easy steps:
- Use only
software listed below in our "PPS Supported Applications"
table.
- Remember
to properly setup your page before you start producing your
job!
- Give us
clear and concise directions about what you want and when you
need it.
- Send us
only those files you want imaged. Extra files create confusion
and will likely delay your order.
- Provide
us your "native" files, i.e. - those files which are
normally produced from the software you use.
- Include
all of the fonts you used - even if they are standard fonts.
We have many fonts on file but if by some chance we do not have
yours, your order will be delayed. Additionally, if you used
standard fonts but renamed them, your files won't image properly.
Or, if you used standard fonts but adjusted their tracking or
kerning, your files will not image correctly.
- Send us
any files that are embedded in your main files. When using imported
graphics in files, it is best to create them in a "PPS
Supported Application". Do not edit imported graphics in
the final application. Size, adjust color, and rotate prior
to importing. TIFF and EPS files are usually the best format
to import. Do not embed large graphics unless necessary, link
them instead. Scale to final output size in order to save space
and imaging time.
- For Photographic
Output, use sRGB color space. For Wide Format Ink Jet Output,
the CMYK color space can be used. Keep in mind that all output
devices differ in their ability to reproduce colors. While we
calibrate and profile our systems to create consistent, accurate
colors, your results may vary if your system is not color managed
properly.
- At PPS
color management is a top priority. We are ICC savvy and will
provide, on request, color profiles of our output devices. If
you haven't implemented a color managed workflow (and you should)
it is a good idea to run a color test prior to settling on final
colors. If you include a color sample, we can assist you in
matching your desired output as closely as possible. Additional
charges may apply for image correction and color management
after the job is in-house.
- Print
and send laser or ink-jet prints when possible with your order
so that we can proof our work - it's our way of checking your
order for non-reported postscript errors or font substitutions.
