Tammy Wolfe
 Tammy
Wolfe, Owner of Ambience Photography located in Dysart PA, graduated
with a degree in education, but realized after teaching for 3 years
that this was not the career for her.
After taking some time to start a family she re-entered the work
force and discovered her passion for photography. Tammy explains
how she got her start in photography.
"I got a job in a mall photography studio in 2000
and immediately fell in love with photography. I began taking
courses and studying everything I could get my hands on about photography. People
told me I had been “bitten by the bug” because I was
so obsessed with learning. After a year at that place I did an
internship for a summer at a real photography studio and then decided
to start my own business!"
Tammy opened her photography studio, Ambience Photography, in
October of 2001 and now she works strictly on location or on her
property with 3 beautiful wooded acres on top of Wopsy Mountain. The
bulk of the business she does is wedding photography, which over
the years has grown into numerous maternity and newborn sessions
as well.
Ambience Photography's style has been described as “edgy”and
Tammy strives very hard to create images that are both different
and memorable. This requires thinking outside the box to come up
with different angles, lenses and lighting techniques that give
her images more impact.
Never wanting to be mediocre, studying art and other photography
to inspire her own work, Tammy uses post-capture processes to enhance
her images to define the look that reflects Ambience's style.
Being a great photographer is only a part of the sucess equation;
the real secret to Ambience Photography's and Tammy's photographic
success is simple; passion and people!
As Tammy says of herself; "I love people. I love capturing
people in images that reflect who they are. One of my favorite
things about this business is building a good rapport with people. Photography
has opened the door to so many new friendships in my life, which
has enhanced my life greatly."

Tammy achieved CPP ( Certified Professional Photographer ) status
last year and has won numerous awards for her work including Kodak
Gallery Award, 2007 Triangle Photographer of the Year and various
awards on the state and regional levels. This year she had
a print accepted into the Loan Collection of the Professional Photographers
of America.
